The Importance of Persistence

The faster you are to execute, the faster you’ll find your success.

If you have an idea on Monday, execute it asap and see if it works on Tuesday.

This was the exact philosophy I have applied since restarting my YouTube journey in late 2023.

Every upload my goal was to keep improving upon the last video.

Whether it was storytelling, vocal inflections, quicker edits, overall production, thumbnail design or carefully curated titles, I wanted to simply get better.

During most of my freetime, I’d study other YouTube videos to see how others were producing their content and apply what I learned.

My style and overall quality of The John 5 Movement YouTube Channel videos have improved in a short period of time by my standards and feedback from others. This is because I was persistent in my pursuits.

You have to want it.

Every. Single. Day.

You want to get out from rock bottom? You must be persistent.

You want to pay off all your student loans in a timely manner? You must be persistent.

You want to be an absolute beast in the gym? You must be persistent.

Don’t get one win and then coast.

Reflect upon how you got that win and then triple the amount of input to win again, but this time much bigger and faster.

After over a year, my persistence has finally paid off on a video across all metrics:

Now it’s time to triple down.
