A Turning Point

What You Watch Can Change Everything
Years ago, I would always watch a YouTuber who initially made a huge following on playing the perpetual victim.
Some skits back in the day were complete satire and others were an actual reflection of his life.
Out of curiosity, he recently popped into my mind one day so I decided to see how he eventually turned out.
He was STILL the same.
STILL playing the victim and even mentioned in a recent YouTube video that his money has slowed down.
He was essentially broke.
He spent the millions of dollars he earned on food, prostitutes, crypto meme coins, random items, and overall, lived well above his means.
When, I went to read the comments below to see how the general consensus viewed him, there was one comment that stood out.
“10 years later and he still never learned,” one person posted.
It was almost like a searing iron struck my brain with that phrase.
I looked at myself with my entire 217lb frame and muttered, “I am literally on the same trajectory as him if I do not do something right now.”
Everything didn’t change at that very moment but that night was the turning point into the life that I am living now.
If I didn’t visually see the end result through the eyes of another person, who knows where I would be.
If you look around, you don’t often need to look far to see that many people are living life on autopliot in utter defeat.
They are perpetually sick from preventable diseases, overweight, depressed, and feel hopeless.
The worst action you can take is to see where you are headed and stay the course.
Just like it’s required to repent and go toward the direction of Jesus for eternal security, the same exact concept applies toward living a life you are actually proud of.
You have to let go of the old way and head in a new direction.
Or, someone else may say to you in 5 to 10 years:
“They still never learned.”
Don’t let that be how your story ends.
Let today be Day 1 of a new era.
