🔥Set HABITS, not goals for 2025.

Why’s this?

Oftentimes I see people set huge goals every year then never accomplish them.

They get distracted. They become lazy. They give up.

Has this maybe been you before?

Let’s get honest.

How many times have you set big new years goals year after year only to come up short?

Let’s change your goal setting traditions to forever change your results.

Think about a goal you’ve had in the past that is still on your mind.

For example, maybe it’s “I want to lose weight in 2025.”

First, this goal is too vague.

How much weight will you lose? How will you lose the weight? How long will you be on a calorie deficit for?

Get specific.

The more you get specific about the a goal, the easier it is to identify the right habits to set.

Habits are the day to day actions that will bring you closer to your goal.

A goal is the destination while habits are the car and gas that will get you there.

The model example for a goal—> Lose 30 lbs in 4 months by burning 500 calories per day

The model example of habits—> Strength train 4x a week at the gym | Walk for 1 hour a day after work | Consume 1500 calories a day through eating whole foods and drinking only water/tea

Instead of focusing on your main goal every day, focus on the daily habits that will get you there. Then once you fall in love with the process then getting to the destination becomes easier and more enjoyable.

Make sure you also decide on how you will track your progress.

Here are different ways you can do it:

1) Use iPhone/MacBook Notes, Google Sheets, Notion, or Asana.

2) Write on notecards or post-its to keep in your wallet or on your desk.

3) Create a vision board that you will place somewhere you see immediately after you wake up.

Choose whatever method works best for you.

For 2025, let’s get better goals and habits.
