Redemption
What's your Redemptive Story?

Redemption:
Psalm 107:2
“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hands of the foe.”
Definition: “Serving to offset or compensate for a defect.”
When you think of the word “Redemption” what immediately comes to your mind?
When I think of the word, it describes the last couple of years of my life.
It is truly incredible to see what the Lord has done in such a short period of time. From me not having any identity or purpose between 2020-Early 2022 to finally having an identity and a purpose driven life now, it is incredible to see the Lord’s hand in it through it all.
Unfortunately, it took a couple of dark years to get to that point, but more on that later.
Speaking of dark years, I always wondered how the apostle Peter felt when he denied Jesus as described in Luke 22:54-62.
The pain, regret, and agony that he felt knowing that he spent years getting close to Jesus, and when he was met with opposition, he fled in fear.
To make things worse, Jesus died knowing that one of his closest friends abandoned him when the moment really counted.
Fortunately for Peter, he did not have to wait that long for Jesus to rise again.
Peter was able to be restored and receive redemption from Jesus, and was able to go on with his life long mission of spreading the Gospel.
There is a redemptive story in all of us. Do not let one bad moment define your entire life.
As long as you have breath, you can rise from whatever dark place you are currently at.
Take the first step.
Weekly Reflection:
Reflect on a moment in time where you faced a difficult moment.
What were the lessons that you took from that moment & how did it change you going forward?
